Monash University's Gift to ANZMAC

Forest of Life

This initiative by the Australian Rainforest Foundation (ARF) is designed to rehabilitate Australia's World Heritage listed rainforests. We have purchased 22 trees*. These native trees have been planted in one of the ARFs specially selected revegetation areas in the Wet Tropics to provide a food source for the cassowary and a sanctuary for the many rainforest animals, insects and frogs.

* The figure 22 is calculated by using the number of years that ANZMAC has been running (11) multiplied by the number of occasions that Monash University has hosted the ANZMAC Annual Conference (2).
